AccessRec, LLC proudly manufactures and supplies the world’s best beach access mats and surfaces to meet all your needs at the best price! For each beach access created with our products, AccessRec provides at no cost our 12” x 18” aluminum beach access surface sign. This sign, with our signature roll-out mat logo, symbolizes improved access for ALL, whether wheelchair users, elderly or families traveling with children. After all, a key goal in providing these beach access pathways is inclusion – allowing families of all abilities to enjoy the beach together. Placing this sign at your beach access also enables awareness within your community – outlining the purpose and benefits of your new access pathway. Moreover, placing the sign so that it is visible from the boardwalk or parking area, signals to your patrons which beach accesses provide such pathways for easy on and off access. Lastly, posting this sign can play a key role in protecting your investment against vandalism. In his 10 years of experience in this industry Seb has never encountered any problems with vandalism where pathways where properly equipped with signage.

ABA vs. ADA
Final Rule – Beach Access Routes under the ABA
The Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board (Access Board) issued a final rule effective November 25, 2013 that amends the Architectural Barriers Act Accessibility Guidelines by adding scoping and technical requirements for camping facilities, picnic facilities, viewing areas, trails, and beach access routes constructed or altered by or on behalf of federal agencies. The final rule ensures that these facilities are readily accessible to and usable by individuals with disabilities. The final rule applies to the following federal agencies and their components that administer outdoor areas developed for recreational purposes: Department of Agriculture (Forest Service); Department of Defense (Army Corps of Engineers); and Department of the Interior (Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, Fish and Wildlife Service, National Park Service). The final rule also applies to non-federal entities that construct or alter recreation facilities on federal land on behalf of the federal agencies pursuant to a concession contract, partnership agreement, or similar arrangement.
